Earlier this week the Chairman, Dr Joe McGilligan, and Vice Chairman, Dr Patrick Kerr, presented the ESyDoc Development Plan for 2012-14 to colleagues from NHS South of England and NHS Surrey. This was part of the SHA's Pipeline process to ensure that CCGs like ESyDoc are ready to take on responsibility for commissioning health services. Joe and Patrick were ably supported by two other Board Members, Steve Williams and Elaine Jackson.
All felt that the meeting had gone very well indeed and commented that Joe had delivered a very credible presentation and we were able to give answers to all the questions posed. We await the formal response but are already working on a detailed action plan with clear outcomes, lead responsibilities, timelines and cross referencing to other work such as the risk management.
Initial feedback from the SHA on our risk assessment submission was very positive and indicates that ESyDoc is working along the right lines. We were given the following indicative ratings:
- Green for Member Practices
- Green for Boundary and population
- Green for Local Authority and Boundary
- Green/Amber for Impact of size
ESyDoc has now submitted further evidence of the actions in place to address the risks we identified and hope to have all green scores when the final results are known.
