Earlier this week the Chairman, Dr Joe McGilligan, and Vice Chairman, Dr Patrick Kerr, presented the ESyDoc Development Plan for 2012-14 to colleagues from NHS South of England and NHS Surrey. This was part of the SHA's Pipeline process to ensure that CCGs like ESyDoc are ready to take on responsibility for commissioning health services. Joe and Patrick were ably supported by two other Board Members, Steve Williams and Elaine Jackson.
Patient involvement in East Surrey Commissioning was moved forward on 2nd March when ESyDoc board members met with patient representatives to discuss the development and role of the Patient Reference Group in shaping the commissioning process.
Following ESyDoc’s disappointment in December when it was turned down Pathfinder status, on 17th January 2011 it was formally announced that ESyDoc will be one of 89 new pathfinder GP consortia added to the 52 pathfinders revealed before Christmas.
