Please send all routine referrals via RMS as they will then be triaged by the GPSIs to the appropriate service.
Possible squamous cell carcinomas and Pigmented lesions should be referred via the 2 week rule form.

Basal cell carcinomas are appropriate for this service. Those in high risk areas, e.g. central face, will be referred on to specialist services.
Exceptions
Viral warts should be treated as core medical services in primary care and referrals will be rejected unless there are concerns regarding diagnosis.
As the Surrey LPP rules are updated, we will reflect this on this web page. This will apply to treatable conditions and also to certain drugs (e.g. ? Vaniqua). If these are not allowable as an NHS provision, we will indicate if they can be prescribed privately in either primary care or provided by the intermediate level dermatology service. Surrey PCT are taking advice on this position at present.
